Auckland composer/jazz pianist Murray McNabb (1947-2013) was at the forefront of NZ jazz for nearly five decades. A master of the cinematic soundscape, McNabb has scored for orchestra, television and film and was a founding member of seminal jazz-fusion groups Dr. Tree, Space Case, Modern Times and Band R. More recently McNabb was a key member of Salon Kingsadore.
